YAML filesYAML files contain device configurations and lab topology details. You can open YAML files in a text editor. Configurations from networkstudysite.com generally use the console line escape-character "Shift + Q" (to interrupt ping or traceroute, and other processes).
If you have an active subscription for Cisco Modeling Labs (CML), you can import a YAML file which automatically creates a new topology, with the device configurations already added.
You can import YAML files from the CML GUI by clicking on "Import" and selecting/uploading the YAML file from your computer. Before starting a lab, remember that larger topologies require more system resources. Understand system requirements in this guide.
Labs with CSR1000v (IOS XE) images: configuration is applied through YAML import, however interfaces are in "shutdown" state. You need to manually "no shutdown". I have also added many IOS XE lab configurations in .txt format which can be downloaded in .zip files.
PCAP filesPacket captures can be opened with Wireshark. Some protocol types may need to be manually decoded through Wireshark settings, for example Ethernet Pseudowires. I added notes in the download section when decoding may need to be adjusted. You can browse through 313 packet captures from the different labs.
